About Jacquie

Ayo! Jacquie here. This is my blog about all things beauty/love/advice,etc. Makeup has been a passion of mine since I was little. After seeing how Michael Jackson’s Thriller was made with the magic of makeup, I was hooked. At age fourteen,I did makeup everywhere and anywhere I could (school plays, dances, anyone with a pulse,etc.).I worked as a Clinique consultant for two years and made the change to working at Sephora as a makeup artist. It’s been a crazy ride. I went from the awkward 8th grade girl who put blush on like David Bowie, to working in a fast-paced industry with some of the best artists throughout the country.

My advice to aspiring makeup artists is to do makeup wherever you can. Make mistakes, read books about makeup (Making Faces by Kevin Aucoin is one of my favorites), do makeup for a friend or a family member. The best education for doing makeup, in my opinion, is just practice.

I am a hopeless romantic. In the dictionary my picture is under the definition of that word. Go grab your Webster’s diction…wait, just kidding, but you get what I’m saying right? I’m young, but have experienced love and heartache just as most of us have. I feel like we can all learn from each other so that’s why I wanna give you advice on how to heal and deal!

You can usually see me with a Starbucks in my hand, clad with false lashes, skinny jeans and my shades. I believe in the beauty of being yourself and rocking it to the fullest. This blog is to give my opinions and advice to help you be glam, confident and BeYOUtiful.
